ECFMG Pathways

Information about ECFMG pathways for IMG applicants is available on MyIntealth. Pathway 1 is for physicians who already have a license to practise medicine in their respective countries. Pathway 2 is for applicants from medical schools administering OSCE, which applicants need to have passed. Pathways 3,4, and 5 are for applicants whose medical schools are accredited by organizations as given in this list https://www.ecfmg.org/certification-pathways/pathway-schools.html

Pathway 6 is for applicants who have failed the USMLE Step 2 CS once. This pathway needs applicants to have been rated on 6 clinical encounters by a physician using ECFMG’s Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX).
